i am so very flattered and honored by the awards you’ve all passed my way lately. i appreciate that you’ve chosen ones you feel i deserve (instead of just wildly flinging them about! LOL!). 

i dont wanna sound cheesey, but gol’durnit, it makes me feel special and i want you to know it means a lot to me

if you havent noticed, i have a new link in the first chunk of my navigation bar called, “awards from you!“  i’ve displayed all the thoughtful awards and badges you’ve been giving me    this is my way of thanking you, and providing links back to your wonderful blogs!!

my good ole buddy amy from you are a fly—and you’re sitting on my wall gave me this AWESOME award!  i have to say, i coveted it when i saw it on someone else’s blog a few weeks back. LOL!  well cause first, i would have to agree that i’m totally nutty… *makes goofy face* LOL.  and second, I LOVE SQUIRRELS! HAHAH!!  and third…i eat lots of walnuts, almonds, pecans…you name it.   (and no, i didnt dig them out of the ground or out of a tree trunk. LOL!)  thanks heaps, amy!

tish, from the kat house, awarded me the “bodacious blog” badge!  according to the urban dictionary, to be bodacious is to be “impressive, awesome, brave in action, remarkable, and prodigious.”  hey, that sounds like a real compliment to me!!!  like, dude, totally awesome!!  thanks so much, tish!

i’d like to pass this on to jenny at heal pain naturally   i just happened upon jenny’s blog this last week, and i feel she is so deserving of this badge…what she has done for her health is impressive, she has shown bravery in taking responsibility for her health, her results have been remarkable and prodigious!

 

tish also passed out the BFF or the “blog friend forever” award. awwww!  i’d like to give this to all the regular readers of my blog—you know who you are!

i heart him! December 9, 2007

one of my simple pleasures this week was leafing through some pictures from last winter.  the scenario here: i had gone outside to take maizy out while hubby was at work, and found the “guy” snowman!  i didnt know he’d made one, and realized we’d never made a snowman together!  and well, i just couldnt leave the guy all alone! hehe

so, i made the “chicky” snow(wo)man…dressed them both up with some “pine” hair, pinecone eyes, and accessories   then, i happened to have some mini-training dog treats in my pocket (i was taking our dog out, remember? LOL.) so i used that for the “love” in the “i love —->” on chicky! hehe!

hubby was surprised and tickled when he came home later and saw them!  we had so much fun just giggling about it =) 

i think within a week the squirrels nibbled off the dog treats and maizy yanked out the stick arms and chewed them up. LOL!!  

 

annnnndd…speakin of love, maureen over at feelingflirty has passed on this loverly award to me!  it’s called the Spreader of Love award created by The Love Blog, and is given for “outstanding demonstration of blogging love.”  The Love Blog is “a personal view of the world from a hopeful human being longing for a world of love, for an earth called Unity.”

i like that! =D  boyyyy it just feels like valentine’s day around here!  i’m all warm and fuzzy

i was in the middle of typing up a blog entry for today, and it involved thanking a few special people i’ve gotten to know a tad bit since i’ve moved to the big-ole-blogosphere just a little over a month ago. 

then i noticed rolando over at r playground had a new post, so i hopped over there…and by golly, he was bein all thankful, too!  *teehee*  he so generously passed on a friendship badge to several of his blogging buddies, including me!

so, this Simple Sundays post is to virtually (and sincerely) thank a few of the folks who have made me feel super welcome in the last month.  these people have taken a little extra time for me…whether its been offering me technical advice, generously commenting on my posts (which boosts the baby blogger ego! LOL), or always having something positive and thought-provoking to say on his/her blog.  each day i enjoy stopping over at your places and giving you my support (and friendship!) as well!

like rolando said when he passed on this badge, please dont feel this is another award you need to display or link back to me.  its just a symbol of my appreciation for the time youve taken to get to know me  

…or if we dont know each other too well yet, i am anticipating our blogging buddyship growing!  hehe

amy, whose blog i absosmurfly love, because you never know what she might be thinking about day to day and it always seems to coincide with something goin on in my world.  she’s as sweet as apple pie (with whipped cream of course!) and her honesty about life is so admirable and REAL.  i really feel like i identify with her! 

beenzzz, erina and jessica…all women who have different ways to express their feelings and life–beenzzz says it like it is and also lets us see through the eyes of her camera , erina through her beautiful prose, and jessica through humor and down-to-earth, witty honesty.  they all fill a special spot in my bloggy heart

today was just like any other monday.

i got up, fed the critters, made brekky for me and hubby, and kissed him off to work. 

i started some laundry.

made the bed.

checked my email.

got a blogger award.
